Network time synchronization software is an
essential part of the distributing time to synchronize the network.
TrueTime's Domain Time II is a comprehensive software solution that
simplifies network time synchronization. Versatile time clients
and software servers keep the network hierarchy synchronized to
a master clock such as a TrueTime GPS referenced, NTS-200 network
time server. Easy to use management tools simplify and automate
many tasks related to keeping these clients up-to-date. Monitoring
functions track the synchronization across the network and notify
you of any problems. The result is a reliable time synchronization
system that requires little management overhead and offers tremendous
value to the integrity of network operations and applications.
Why TrueTime's Domain Time II is the right solution
Domain Time II has been designed to conform to your
existing network infrastructure and to scale easily across installations
of any size or complexity. In addition, Domain Time II has unmatched
accuracy, manageability, security, and verifiability features that
are essential in any environment with mission-critical systems.
Manageability
Domain Time II's superior management tools enable complete control
of your entire network time system from a single workstation thereby
saving you a tremendous amount of time and effort. You can install,
update, configure, monitor, troubleshoot, and track licensing of
Domain Time II enterprise-wide.
Accuracy
Domain Time II in conjunction with a TrueTime network time server
provides more features to ensure accurate delivery of time than
any other network time product, including high-accuracy time protocols,
time-source averaging, clock training, slewing, target seeking,
and an efficient time cascade update hierarchy, among others.
Reliability
Providing the reliability you demand, Domain Time II software servers
automatically take over for each other when one becomes unavailable
and clients automatically find alternate time servers if there's
a failure.
Security
Domain Time II provides built-in protection against malicious or
inadvertent tampering with the time on your network.
Verifiability
Domain Time II incorporates and tracks multiple types of data that
verify exactly who synchronized from whom, when, and what were the
actual adjustments were. This information can be collected remotely
by the Management Tools to provide unimpeachable audit records of
time synchronization across your enterprise.

Management Tools
Domain Time II Manager is an integrated suite of Windows
NT/2K/XP applications and services that allow you to remotely
install, configure, control, and monitor your Domain Time
II components across the network. The program is designed
to be the central control center for your time system,
and it has many powerful features to simplify all aspects

Time
Client Software
The Domain Time II Clients are designed to accurately
synchronize with time servers over a network. Most of
the clients are system services (or daemons) that run
automatically in the background to keep the time synchronized
to a high degree of accuracy. When used with other Domain
Time II components (servers and management tools), clients
become part of an integrated network-wide time system.

Domain Time Clients are available for most popular
operating systems and hardware platforms. For Windows
there are three choices of configurations: Full, Thin,
and Command Line. Click

Time
Server Software
Domain Time II Server is an Windows NT/2K/XP system service
that is configured to obtain time from an a GPS referenced
network time server such as a TrueTime NTS-200, and then
distribute that time reliably and securely to other client
machines that run the Domain Time II Client. In particular,
the Server can be configured to be a master or slave server
and function automatically in the Windows NT/2000 environment
to cascade time throughout both large and small networks.
When installed on Primary Domain Controllers (PDC) and
Back-up Domain Controllers (BDC) it can automatically
maintain the correct time hierarchy as the roles of the
PDC and BDC change. |
