Client Timing settings affect how
often Domain Time II performs its automatic synchronization of the
client's time.
The default settings for these options should be sufficient to
provide extremely accurate performance; however, you may experiment
with these settings to tune your system to the highest degree of
accuracy possible.
This panel specifies the timing settings the Domain Time II Full
Client will use to stay synchronized with its time source(s).
There are several ways to configure the updating of the time. These
include updating as often as needed to maintain desired sync accuracy
with server or to synchronize on a schedule you select.
Correction limits control how large an error in the local clock
is considered normal before Domain Time makes a change. You can
instruct the client to change its clock to match the source, regardless
of how drastic the change, or you can set the client to refuse to
set the time if the variance between the client and the time source
is over the limit that you set. Domain Time II also includes built
in "reasonableness" checking before accepting large corrections.
